It was on July 27, 1953 that the Nations of North Korea and South Korea purportedly signed a cease fire. Though for almost 57 years, these two nations have kept a balance between the nuclear tensions by not shattering a rocky and tenuous ceasefire. The Nation of South Korea formerly refused to sign the Armistice and thus kept these two nations in a technical state of perpetual war.
Then in the year of 2009, the North Korean dictator, Kim Jong-il formly announced that he would no longer abide by the armistice agreement that was initially recommended by the Nation of India and later approved by the United Nations including the United States, Russia, China and North Korea in 1953.
As reported by Terrence Aym reporting also in “Helium: Politics, and Issues” “Possible North Korea Target: Deepwater Horizon Oil Platform”, we read:
Terrence Aym – “The North Korean leader then announced that his country considered itself fully at war with the U.S. Immediately afterward the North Koreans ramped up their weapons sales—including nuclear weapons technology and long range missile parts—to Iran and Syria. They have since expanded that to include Venezuela, Cuba and possibly Nicaragua.
Border incidents increased and gigantic tunnels running under the DMZ from North Korea into South Korean territory were discovered. And then the belligerent communist nation detonated its first atomic bomb. Although experts argued as to whether the detonation could be that of a nuclear weapon, none dismissed the second nuclear blast. The consensus was that Kim Jog-il's regime had developed 'the Bomb.'
Although North Korea's population is near starvation—only the leaders, bureaucrats and one million man army is well-fed and clothed—China provides some meager subsistence in the form of food and oil. But the Chinese have been playing the West against its puppet state and has been utilizing the Korean Peninsula and especially their North Korean allies as both political and military destabilizing factors.
The Island of Baengnyeong of the Coastline of North Korea where the South Korean Corvette type Cruiser Cheonan was destroyed.
November of 2009 saw several naval warships from both Koreas fire at each other causing damage to each other's vessels. S. Korean warship explodes and sinks. With tensions increasing in the region throughout 2009 and into early 2010, the news suddenly reached the world that a S. Korean naval patrol ship, the Cheonan, sank off Baengnyeong Island in the Yellow Sea, near the border with N. Korea on Friday, the 27th of March.
A close range explosion had rocked the ship. More than forty sailors were missing and later presumed dead. Earlier that same morning, the North's military leaders threatened S. Korea and the United States with "unpredictable strikes."
In the aftermath of the sinking of the Navy Corvette ROKS Cheonan PCC-772, the forward and the aft sections of the ship were eventually recovered, and the first and only mission body found was Senior Chief Petty Officer Nam Ki-hoon stuck inside the aluminum structure of the ceiling to the mess hall.
A joint military/civilian investigation team came to the conclusion that a powerful shock wave of high pressure gas bubbles caused the ROKS Cheonan bolt upwards and fall, causing the hull of the ship to split in two. Direct hit type torpedoes and mines were ruled out, but they did believe that a bubble jet type torpedo could have been the armament of choice.
A North Korean semi-submersible carrying two torpedoes (marked) .
According article titled “Speculation focuses on North Korean Semi-submersibles”, posted by the South Korean news site, Chosen IIbo, they shared the increasing suspicion that the sinking of the South Korean Corvette Cruiser was an attack by North Korean crack teams traveling in Semi-submersibles along with two torpedoes or two mines each. Less than 300 tons, these semi-submersibles were small enough to traverse the 20-30 meter deep waters that the larger 1,800 ton Romeo type submarines could not navigate within. As these flat boats approach the coastline, they semi-submerged under the water and then descend below the water line as they approach shoreline or near their target to they are choosing to eliminate.
It is known that the both the South Korean and the United States monitor the North Korean submarine bases located along the Western and the Eastern Seas using the American KH-12 reconnaissance satellites, U-2 spy planes, and the South Korean Kumgang reconnaissance aircraft. Operation Alert goes out anytime several submarines leave base and disappear, because as a team, the submarines, mini-subs and the semi-submersibles are the fastest and most lethal way to attack American or South Korean targets.
The North Korean navy is known to have about 70 mini-submarines and a large number of semi-submersibles, of which at least 20 were stationed in the nearby Baeknyeong Island. Unknown but highly speculated, the North Koreans in their nuclear sharing technology with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, probably have received assistance from Tehran in cutting-edge torpedoes.
On the same day that the Deepwater Horizon oil rig was purported attacked, April 20, 2010, it was reported on the Chosun IIbo website that a North Korean Army Officer admitted to the revenge attack by the North Koreans in sinking the S. Korean naval patrol ship, the Cheonan.
This was the same day, that the North Korean “cargo vessel” Dai Hong Dan purportedly released a mini-submarine that in a two phase suicide mission, first fired up to two torpedoes at the Deepwater Horizon oil rig and two days later, traversed its mini-sub under the sea until it was right under the massive oil platform. It then exploded itself in its final phase suicide mission designed to collapse the entire rig into the ocean and potentially right on top of the wellhead that it had sunk into this dome covering this massive oil deposit. As reported on the earlier South Korean patrol boat attack, we read:
Chosun IIbd – “A North Korean Army officer has testified that the North Korean military attacked the South Korean Navy corvette Cheonan before it sank in the West Sea on March 26, the head of a South Korean activist group claimed Monday. Choi Sung-yong of the Family Assembly Abducted to North Korea said, "It seems that the Cheonan was sunk in a premeditated North Korean operation."
Choi published a transcript of a telephone conversation with what he says is a senior North Korean Army officer. According to the transcript, the officer says, "Thirteen commandos who left from Cape Bipagot sank the Cheonan. Many people as well as military officers already know who attacked the ship." The officer claims the motive was revenge. "After the North lost the sea skirmish in November last year, Kim Jong-il gave an order to take revenge. He gave the order when he visited the naval fleet command in Nampo."
On April 28, the Chosun 11bo news site wrote of the increasing pride and morale of the North Koreans in their attacks against South Korean, and in effect the United States, as reported:
Chosun IIbo – “A senior North Korean party leader has reportedly announced that the North Korean military took "gratifying revenge" on South Korea. The Daily NK, an Internet media outlet, quoted a senior North Korean party leader as making the remark in a political lecture for party members in Onsong, North Hamgyong Province on April 24. He reportedly said, "Since our heroic People's Army took revenge on the enemy, all South Chosun [Korea] has been in fear of our defensive military ability."
It appears that the primary North Korean officers involved in the attack against the South Korean corvette patrol ship included:
· General Kim Yong-chol the director of the Reconnaissance Bureau overlooking the espionage operations against South Korea has been the top candidates suspected for the attack on the South Korean navy patrol vessel.
· General U Dong-chuk was the Senior Deputy of the State Security Department and member of the National Defense Commission. He was noted to traveling together frequently between Pyongyand and Nampo with General Kim Yong-chol as they worked out the operational details of the covert mission.
· Navy Commander Jong Myong-do remained on post at the Naval Command Center in Nampo until the mission was accomplished.
The clue to these leading commanders involvement was the fact that General U Dong-chuk and Navy Commander Jong Myong-do were promoted to full generals on April 16, 2010 at the 98th National Birthday Celebration of North Korea’s founder, General Kim Il-sung. Their promotions were suspicions as General “U” was promoted to a full general only a year after he was promoted to lieutenant general. On the other hand Navy Commander “Jong” was promoted unexpectedly after his military position was uncertain following North Korea's ignoble defeat in the 2009 sea skirmish last year. As the report continued:
Chosun IIbd – “Some of the 13 commandos who left Cape Bipagot before they sank the Cheonan are acquaintances of mine," the alleged officer claims according to the transcript. "It seems it was such an important mission that a semi-submersible which was made originally for a crew of three was remodeled for the mission." He claims the Cheonan's sinking lifted soldiers' morale and the 13 commandos "are being treated as heroes.”
They apparently spent a lot of time practicing camouflage by sneaking around fleet of North Korean and Chinese fishing boats operating near Baeknyeong Island," the officer says. "It seems likely that a bigger event will occur in the future given that they are operating also in the East Sea, camouflaging themselves there."
As the evidence has become more transparent of the international aggression of North Korea against South Korea and now the United States it was reported by the Russian
Defense Ministry that three American aircraft carrier battle groups in the Northern Pacific Third Fleet were ordered to assume the “Cocked Pistol” alert status as they were to put all their forces on “maximum readiness” preparing for an imminent or ongoing attack as the North Korean belligerence was now become more apparent.
At the same time, on May 3, 2010, South Korean President Lee Myung-bak called for the first Emergency Meeting of its kind directed by a Head of State in South Korea in the 62-years since the North Koreans signed the 1953 Armistice Agreement which South Korea refused to sign. As reported in the South Korean’s JoongAng Daily News Service we read:
South Korean’s JoongAng Daily News – “For the first time in the 62-year history of Korea’s military, a president will chair an emergency meeting of top commanders to discuss the national security crisis prompted by the sinking of the Navy warship Cheonan near the inter-Korean border. About 150 commanders from the Army, Navy and Air Force will attend the meeting with President Lee Myung-bak tomorrow, according to Blue House spokesman Park Sun-kyoo.
“President Lee will discuss the task that the Cheonan’s sinking has put before our people and military, and reveal his position as the chief commander of the armed forces,” Park said. Lee is expected to ask the commanders to heighten their readiness to protect national security. “Because the issue is so grave, the military is looking into the possibility of inviting civilian advisers” on international relations, Park said.
Park said Lee’s message to the military will focus on improvement, not reprimand. “The Lee administration’s national security policy will definitely be different before and after the Cheonan’s sinking,”
The silence of America is only spotlighted by the progressive transparency of the North Koreans, for on April 28, the Chosun 11bo news site wrote of the increasing pride and morale of the North Koreans in their attacks against South Korean, and in effect the United States, as reported:
Chosun IIbo – “A senior North Korean party leader has reportedly announced that the North Korean military took "gratifying revenge" on South Korea. The Daily NK, an Internet media outlet, quoted a senior North Korean party leader as making the remark in a political lecture for party members in Onsong, North Hamgyong Province on April 24. He reportedly said, "Since our heroic People's Army took revenge on the enemy, all South Chosun [Korea] has been in fear of our defensive military ability."
By April 19, South Korean Military was already convinced that the Cheonan was torpedoed by a North Korean Submarine, as reported in the Chosun IIbo article:
Chosun IIbo – “Military officials and experts believe that if a North Korean torpedo was involved in the sinking of the South Korean Navy corvette Cheonan, it was probably launched from a 325-ton Shark-class submarine. The sub ranks between a full-blown submarine and a mini-sub in terms of size.
South Korean military intelligence are reportedly focusing on the fact that one or two Shark-class submarines from a submarine base in Cape Bipagot, South Hwanghae Province are unaccounted for during the time of the Cheonan's sinking.
The Bipagot submarine base is around 80 km from Baeknyeong Island. Shark-class submarines can travel at speeds of 13 km/h under water, so it would take them between six and seven hours to reach Baeknyeong Island. Intelligence officers and experts believe the sub made the trip under water, since traveling on the surface of the water would have exposed it to South Korean and U.S. spy planes and surveillance satellites.
A drawback of the Shark-class diesel-powered submarines is that they need to surface regularly to recharge their batteries and ventilate, a process known as "snorkeling." During this process, the ventilation device can be detected by radar and other surveillance equipment. "The snorkeling equipment is not big, so there is a slim chance that it was detected by South Korean radars while the sub was in North Korean waters," said one source.
The military believes a North Korean sub could have approached by taking a detour through open seas left of Baeknyeong Island, instead of coming in straight between Hwanghae Province and Baeknyeong Island…And a mid-sized torpedo, weighing more than 200 kg rather than a small one weighing between 50 kg to 80 kg, is being cited as the probable weapon, judging from the huge damage the Cheonan suffered.
A lingering question is why the Cheonan's radar system was unable to detect a torpedo attack, if that was indeed the cause of the sinking. The Defense Ministry says the sonar aboard a South Korean warship like the Cheonan has a 70-percent chance of detecting submarines or semi-submersibles around a 2 km radius. But retired naval commanders say the chances are actually only 50 percent, so sonar officers could have been unaware of an approaching torpedo.”
Pelicans Flying by a Deep Water Oil Rig in the Gulf of Mexico – CBS News
The question, will the President of South Korea proclaim that this attack against the Cheonan was an “act of war”? The same question can be asked against the United States. If the fact that the North Koreans did direct a torpedo attack against the Deepwater Horizon Oil Platform in the Gulf of Mexico, then the liability of the damages occurred by this catastrophe is placed directly on the doorstep of the South Korean economy. We have seen the refusal of the of insurers, and re-insurers to insure the liability of these mammoth rigs drilling in hurricane and cyclone zones which leaves the financial burdens only upon the industrial nations like South Korea, or the United States or mega rig drilling will become a day of the past.
If the President of the United States were to declare that an attack was truly made upon American territorial waters, and called it an “act of war”, it would negate all the liabilities that will be cast upon mega trans-nationalist companies like British Petroleum (BP), Transocean and Hyundai.
Even more problematic is the fact that if this was a terrorist attack by a foreign nation when the Deepwater Horizon rig was sunk in American territorial waters, and President Obama refused to acknowledge that it was an “act of war”, then America will be seen as abandoning its only real ally in the East, the Nation of South Korea and make American and European companies liable for damages to the waters of the earth.
This fact is highlighted by the fact that today Japan is trying to extricate itself from the nuclear shield of America and American nuclear vessels docking in Japanese ports. Even Taiwan, which America has spent decades defending as bound by its 1979 Taiwan Relations Act against Chinese overt aggression against this island nation, has now openly proclaimed to the United States, “don’t call up us to help you in your wars abroad” in the article posted by Reuters: Canada, which said, “we can stand up for ourselves”:
Reuters: Canada – “Taiwan will never ask the United States to help fight a war.”
As the oil tainted waters began to bathe upon the southern shorelines of the United States, the economic damages are estimated to be a high as $500 Billion to $1.5 Trillion. It would take the declaration of an “act of war” to free these companies from bankruptcy.
Lest we forget, we are right in the middle of the prophetic era of tribulation called the “Time of the End”. The prophets have spoken that it will be an era of apocalyptic catastrophes when all the nations of the earth will turn against Israel. America is no exception.
For the “saints” and the “chosen ones” what is our role? We must not forget the promise, “he that endures until the end shall be saved”. The sovereign G-d of Israel, called by the Jews, HaShem (“The Name”), is big enough to handle the situation, even though the ride is going to be bumpy here on earth. The House of Judah has already begun their aliyah, but only half have gone home to Israel.
The Lost Tribes of the House of Israel’s ancestors live today in Northern Europe; the Vikings of the North, the Isles of the West, the Lowlands of Netherland and Belgium, plus Switzerland, Northern France and Germany. They are standing on the precipice of their Great Aliyah. As HaShem has promised upon the Honor of His Holy Name, they will return as proclaimed by the G-d of Israel.
Ezekiel 36:24, 28 – “I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land…then you shall dwell in the lands that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your G-d”
As HaShem has promised upon the Honor of His Holy Name, they will return. Do we have the “emuna”, faith in the Divine intent to believe that it will occur?
